The Cisco FirePower 2100 is a new member of the Cisco family of security devices. Protecting IT infrastructure sometimes brings very complex tasks that are not easy to manage. Large amounts of policies and different ways of applying policies for different segments of infrastructure can be very complicated to maintain.

That's why we present the Cisco FirePower 2100, which is part of the Cisco Open Security family of platforms that aim to improve and simplify management. Cisco Open Security also aims to increase the visibility of all threats on the network that the device is defending and to reduce the amount of time invested in maintenance and management.

The Cisco FirePower 2100 series will not affect the performance and bandwidth of the network it defends, making it market specific. FirePower's innovative architecture optimizes the performance of firewalls, cryptographic data and threats at the same time so that it does not affect network bandwidth performance.

Why choose a Cisco 2100 series firewall?

First of all, Cisco is a leader among firewall device manufacturers, but what we single out as the biggest advantage is that this series uses artificial intelligence to detect threats that it produces using the integrated Cisco Talos platform to which it is connected. Cisco Talos is in charge of innovating the protection mechanisms of this series, so this series will always be ready and able to defend the IT infrastructure from all detected threats, both from those widely known and from newly discovered ones.

This series brings many improvements in the form of simplification by managing and expanding the visibility of the network it defends. This series can be managed using the Cisco Defense Orcherstration Cloud platform, centralized locally or directly on the device. It will make the network just one extension of your complete security architecture. Thanks to the Cisco Open Security platform, this series offers tools such as Cisco Threat Response without additional investment. It can be integrated with the Cisco Identity Service Engine (ISE) platform, which allows endpoints where security vulnerabilities or threats have been detected to be quarantined in a timely manner and prevent the possibility of further infecting the network.

With the application of Cisco Advanced Malware Protection for workstations and end devices with automatic patches created by Cisco Talos, this series brings us complete visibility and application management, as well as granular control over applications.

The Cisco FirePower 2100 comes in 7 different models, and what all models have in common is that they take up only one unit (1 RU) in the rack. They contain 8 SFP + interfaces on the chassis. Optional interfaces include 2 1/10 / 40GB network modules and FTW (Fail to Wire).
